MIX 96
Mix 96 Portage la Prairie is located in the hub of the Central Plains Region, 70 kilometres west of Winnipeg. The area's newest station signed on May 4th, 2004 with a format of All Hits All the Time. Over the first few years we listened intently to our listener's comments and in November 2008 some changes took place. Mix 96.5 FM became Mix 96, the Best Songs, the Best Variety. Most of the favorites from the original format continue to play and now some of today's current hits are also mixed in. The music may have been updated but the original goal remains the same, to provide informative entertaining local radio to all our listeners that everyone in the family can enjoy. We put our focus on local communities ensuring local news, sports and weather information, as well as local events coverage. Plus you'll always have a chance to win some great prizes like trips and concert tickets.
